Yes there comes that time when its time to go on to college! Its pretty exciting being able to experience something way different and doing something with your life. Who doesn't want to be successful? But sometimes when it come time to choosing a college , you won't really find one nearby your home , maybe just a few but they don't have the major you want to study! So that sucks :[ You end up finding this really cool college out of the state or maybe if u're in luck in the same state but still far. Like 8 hours away. When you know that time is coming closer and closer to move to college you start getting nervous. Then finally the day comes....you're on the road or on the plane heading there knowing that the school's dorm or apartments will be your new home for awhile. You arrive and you get that feeling of knowing you're in a whole new different place you're not used to. The people are wierd and well some are even rude! Things are wayy expensive compared to back home, you know nobody yet, the food is different of course compared to home cooked meals =P man how i miss that! But seriously, thats how the first day is like. You start feeling homesick the first week or so. But later on you get used to the new place. Its all about life, experiencing new things and being able to take of yourself without your parents being there. Its that time when you finally get to be independent. and didn't you want that in the first place? To get out of your parents' house and live on your own. Sounds scary to some people and to others its like whatever. And theres nothing bad about missing home. Come on! Its the place you lived since you were a kid! Where all your friends are and your favorite places to go. One thing to make me feel better is to take photos. Photos are just amazing. You can just capture a memory and treasure it forever. Looking through pictures makes you think back and how much fun you had and you will never forget it. When being away from home its good to look at pictures , makes you smile and makes you feel closer to the people you might be missing. And take advantage of the new place you're in...go explore! Take pictures! That way you remember the very place where you first started being independent. :]
